Jefferson
County Parks and Recreation (JCPRC) is currently hiring reliable, organized, and enthusiastic swim
director and swim instructors. Lifeguarding and WSI Certifications may be required. Classes are held Monday-Sunday starting in June in
Charles Town and Shepherdstown. Pay is commensurate with experience. Please submit your applications to Jennifer

Nestled in the Eastern Panhandle of West Virginia, Jefferson County
Parks & Recreation owns or operates eight county parks, comprising over 250 acres of land, located throughout the county.
The parks boast of varied facilities, including picnic areas, athletic fields, tennis courts, nature trails, and playgrounds.
The JCPRC strives to provide the best facilities for all residents to use and enjoy.

UPCOMING EVENTS
5/12- Come Join Jefferson County Parks and Recreation in partnership with MCPT fitness for
a FREE health and fitness fun day for everyone. Held on May 17th, this event will help people gain
knowledge of overall Health and Fitness. The event will include; health screenings, FREE fitness classes,
fun games for kids, guest speakers, and much more!
4/28-
Friday, May 2nd there will be a Middle School Dance from 7:00-10:00p.m. The
cost is $5.00 and all participants must show student ID or have a parent sign them in. For more information, call 304-728-3207.
4/15- Friday,
April 25th will be the next Teen Bored meeting from 6:00-8:00p.m. Teen Bored is a group of teens who get together
every month to discuss teen issues/programs and have free Pizza and Drinks. Anyone who is interested
in becoming a member of Teen Bored can contact Bryan Snow at Bsnow@jcprc.org
3/24- The Summer program guide is now available! Come to the Community
Center or send in a registration to enroll in classes and camps!
3/21- Summer
Play Camp Registration will be accepted beginning February 1, 2008. Please email Joyce Moler at jmoler@jcprc.org to have a registration form sent to you.
