Job Summary: The Parks and Recreation Director is responsible for the development, implementation, and administration of a variety of social, cultural and community based events.  The Director is also responsible for facilities, programs and services for the Park and Recreation Commission.  The employee is required to perform all other similar or related duties. Key areas of expertise required include leadership, planning, budgeting, employee training and development, and safety.

Education and Experience: Graduate of a four year college or university with a Bachelor’s degree in Park and Recreation Management or a related field.  It is desired that the applicant have 3-5 years of related work experience or any equivalent  combination of education, training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the essential functions of the job.

Salary: $45,000- $61,500
